Yannick Noah was clearly embroiled, evidently in spite of his will, in the Le Coq Sportif/Cameroonian Football Federation case.

These events took place at the start of 2019. The contract with Puma, a German company, has just ended in Cameroon. The Cameroon Football Federation (Fécafoot), which is coming out of a long period of provisional administration, could not renew the lease. The lease will expire in June 2019. The women’s team will be playing the World Cup in France. The men’s team will travel to Egypt for Africa Cup. Faced with shrinking deadlines, Fécafoot called on Yannick Noah.

Muse and shareholder of Le Coq Sportif, the Frenchman from Cameroon makes his connections speak. The French firm agrees that the Cameroonian selections will be dressed despite time and pressure constraints. “Three years ago, the question arose, Cameroon had no equipment supplier, Yannick Noah’s rewinds on Cameroon’s public television channel. I did everything possible to bring Le Coq Sportif into Cameroon. Where is the problem? Why did I want Le Coq Sportif Cameroon to visit? Because it’s my patriotic side.”

Noah : “I have a lifetime contract with Le Coq Sportif”

Three years ago, Roland Garros winner 1983 thought he was fulfilling a duty. Today, he is being publicly condemned. Many call him anti-patriot. Because the company whose brand he defends went to war with Fécafoot and its boss Samuel Eto’o, for abusive breach of contract. Yannick Noah has indeed activated some lobbies in Yaoundé. Marc-Henri Beausire was the president of the company. He was received by most of the country’s authorities several days ago. Some Samuel Eto’o supporters are not afraid to attack him.

“When I see what is happening (on social media), I am a little confusedThe former tennis player, 62 years old, said it. He hammered. We are talking about the image we have of our country. In either case, the truth always prevails. I will never do any thing against my little brother (Samuel Eto’o – editor’s notes) and I will not ever oppose the Cameroon team in relation to a personal concern.

He claims that he is only involved in this case because he “a lifetime contract with Le Coq Sportif”.
