Al Merreikh won (2-0) Al Ahli Tripoli on Friday, October 7. Three other teams won this Saturday, October 8, their first leg in the second preliminary round for the Champions League (LDC). These are JS Kabylie (Petro Luanda) and Raja Casablanca (Republican). These formations have been able to qualify for the group stage. They have also imposed themselves outside.

JS Kabylie completed the task in less than a minute on the ASKO Togo field. Alili (15th) and Lamine Ouattara (17th) were the goals. The Togolese will reduce score on a goal of Moutalabou Ouattara (72nd). They will need to be able to do this feat in just one week in Algeria in order to reach the group stage at the LDC.

Petro Luanda was able to win the victory more clearly than Raja Casablanca. In the final 25 minutes, Nigeria’s NIGELEC was defeated by the Moroccans. The score was sealed by Zakaria Habti (67th) as well as Soufiane Bejdida (90th+1). Return match: October 15 at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Sports Complex.

The Angolan champion won the game and gave South Africans in Cape Town City no chance. Gleison Moeira, who opened the scoring (38th), and Tiago Azulao, author of a pair (49th and63rd), won on their ground. Petro Luanda will be able, in a week, to validate their ticket for UCL’s group stage.
