A flight of Egypt’s national carrier EgyptAir landed Tuesday at Tripoli’s Mitiga International Airport for the first time since 2014.

According to the airliner the flights will continue until October 11th to transport tourists from Libya to Sharm El-Sheikh, an Egyptian Red Sea resort.

To promote tourism from Libya to Egypt, the flag carrier will fly a weekly flight on board a Boeing B737-800 aircraft. It can carry up to 154 passengers.

After seven years of suspension due to security concerns in Libya, Egypt and Libya reached an agreement in September to resume flights between Cairo and Tripoli. In April, the two countries also restored direct flights between Cairo and Benghazi.
