Moitalel Ole Kenta is the Narok gubernatorial Candidate. He has raised concerns over election malpractice by supporting Patrick Ntutu.

Ole Kenta claimed that he had evidence that the presiding officers at several polling stations had swapped his votes for Ntutu’s, particularly in stations where he had done well.

An ODM ticket-running governor, the aspiring governor, gave the example Kisiriri’s and Olokurto’s primary schools where he won the elections. However, the results were flipped with Ntutu’s who received fewer votes.

“The presiding officers have agreed they made a mistake but I wonder why it affected votes cast in favour in over five incidents,” he said.

Kenta also claimed his agents were bribed by him not to appear at Ilmotiok wards in Sogoo, Sagamian or Sagamian that are dominated mainly by the Kipsigis.

“Yesterday I commended IEBC believing they will do a perfect job, but I am shocked that most of the officers were bribed to steal my votes,” said Kenta.

Kenta who spoke at Maasai Girls’ Secondary school vowed to move to court to compel IEBC to repeat the vote counting exercise.

The race for Narok County gubernatorial was between Kenta, Ntutu and Ntutu who were running on an UDA platform. However, the county election director has yet to release the gubernatorial results.

Fredrick Shiundu, Narok North Sub County Police Commander, confirmed that one of the presiding officers had been arrested for incorrect gubernatorial information posting. Investigations are ongoing.

Another Enaitoiyopaki station polling station officer in Narok East was also taken into custody. He had swapped 470 votes for Ole Kenta and 36 votes for Ntutu.
