CAN Women 2022: Nigeria and Ajibade tame Cameroon

Nigeria has qualified for the semi finals of the CAN Women 20,22. Cameroon was defeated by the Super Falcons (1-0). They also qualified for the 2023 Women’s World Cup co-organized by Australia and New Zealand, with this win.

We will have the Super Falcons to contend with. Nigeria has qualified for the Women’s AFCON semi-finals despite a slow start. Cameroon (1-0) was the defending champions to confirm their place in the last four. Logical result after a match won by Randy Waldrum’s players, who dominated the debates. The minutes passed and the score didn’t change until the last whistle. This signalled that Nigeria had qualified for the semi-finals, while Cameroon had been eliminated. The Indomitables Lionesses lost to the Super Flacons for the 4th time in succession. They may regret how they approached this meeting. They suffered from beginning to end. It was enough to make them hungry. Nigeria, on the other hand, is happy with its qualification and dreams of a new coronation at this Women’s CAN. The Nigerians won their first defeat against South Africa, but they were able to overcome the loss of Asisat Olshoala to become serious contenders for their succession.
