President Touray Met with the High Commissioner of Namibia, Discussed Areas of Cooperation – African Business

H.E. H.E. Today, November 18, 2022, Mr. Humphrey D. Geiseb was the High Commissioner of Namibia in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Permanent Rep to ECOWAS. He met with H.E.
H.E. H.E. “It is in our interest that women are involved in conflict resolution, peacekeeping and peace and security issues” he added. He said that Namibia was open to cooperating with ECOWAS.
H.E. Dr. Omar Alieu Touray (President of the ECOWAS Commission) stressed the need for ECOWAS and observer ambassadors to have more structured interactions. He also stressed that women should be involved in security and development issues. He said that the ECOWAS Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security would work with the High Commission of Namibia in areas of cooperation.
They also discussed the political situation in Mali, Guinea, and Burkina Faso.
