Mogadishu (SONNA) – Operation Somali National Army was conducted to hunt Al-Shabab terrorists at Jicibow village, Buuloburde, Hiiraan Province.
According to military sources, the army was able to disperse militants gathered in the area.
“The Troops and the local people are working together in the ongoing operation to apprehend the remnants of the enemy,” sources added.
Al-Shabaab militants were defeated in Somalia by the Somali National Army and its allied local people at the end of September.
Saturday’s suspension by the Somali Government of 40 Twitter and Facebook accounts by terrorists who used them to spread their propaganda and violent extremism ideologies was a significant step.
