Morale punch to terrorists as SNA have upper hand in frontlines – Somali National News Agency

Mogadishu (SONNA) – The Somali National Army (SNA), which won a decisive victory over Al-Shabab militants in the public-supporting nationwide anti-terrorist military campaign, has reclaimed scores of villages and inflicted a severe blow to their morale.

SNA won the support of the local community and took control of ten districts including two major ones within 24 hours.

Terrorists were pushed out of the Bay region in Southwest state by troops. They came from Baayale and Caliyow Dooyow as well as Xaawa Dhaaysile and Boorame.

In HirShabelle state’s Hiiraan province, soldiers liberated Ceelcade iyo Ceelcali districts as well as Moqokori and Hidiga Caag-Xoog villages which about 90-KM of west of the regional capital city Baladweyne.

Galgadud state was home to forces that conducted searches in rural areas and hunted down terrorists in recently liberated towns. Sector Command advised misled youths that they should withdraw from the radical group.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was recently said: “AShabab is a group of mafia shouldering with a Islamic cover; we need to uncover them, take the narrative of Islam back from them and we have established a specific instruments for that”.
