On September 23, Sergey Lavrov had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea Simeón Oyono Esono Angue on the sidelines of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Ministers discussed bilateral relations and the current international agenda, with a particular focus on regional issues on Africa.
They also stressed the vital importance of the Russia-Africa Summit to be held in St Petersburg, Russia in 2023 in order to strengthen the diverse relations between Russia and African countries.
