Louisa Ndaninga Kativa was the Independent Patriots for Change candidate for Swakopmund. She received 3 625 of the 991 votes cast on Friday.
Salomon Ndara Nehemiah was the Swapo’s candidate. Hilaria Tangeni Moshieko, Landless People’s Movement’s Hilaria Tangeni Misheko, came in third with 1 362 vote.
Amos Nguaiko was the returning officer of the Electoral Commission of Namibia for the by-election. He announced the results Friday night.
