Gov’t to distribute relief food in Baringo – Kenya News Agency
2000 bags of maize were distributed by the National Government to residents in Baringo County to alleviate hunger after severe drought.
Speaking at AIC church Kabartonjo where he attended the Sunday service area senator Gideon Moi assured vulnerable families within Baringo South, Tiaty and some parts of Baringo North that the relief maize distribution would be conducted this week.
Moi challenged leaders to not just focus on the General election, but to address the major problems facing residents of their respective areas.
He also challenged leaders seeking different elective positions to make their manifestos public.
Let the people decide who they want to vote for.
Moi also urged residents to continue coexisting harmoniously as elections would come and go and similarly advised winners and losers in next month’s poll to preach peace.
Moi is defending the seat with a Kanu ticket. William Cheptumo, Baringo North MP, is also interested in the same seat as Felix Chelaite, CCM party member.
Gladwell Tungo, a woman representative, was with the senator.
