African European Cups: Aubameyang and Boga decisive
The Gabonese, and the Ivorian scored crucial goals in the Europa League, which allowed FC Barcelona and Atalanta Bergamo into the quarter-finals.

The Europa League Conference and the Champions League Conference have not seen any African players score in the knockout stages. In C3, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (who has been living again in Catalonia since his arrival), scored FC Barcelona’s second goal against Galatasaray (2-1 in the second leg, 0-0 in that first leg) in 49 minutes. The scoring had been opened by the Turks.
The Ivorian Jeremiah BogaThe scoring was opened in extra time by a 1-0 score. The Transalpins had won 3-2 in their first leg and have been threatened by a German goal. Comorian El Fardou Ben Mohamed converted a penalty after extra time to allow the Serbs against Red Star Belgrade (2-1) victory against Glasgow Rangers. The Scots are qualified, having been 3-0 winners in their first leg.
Slavia Prague (Czech Republic), qualified for the Euopa Conference League despite a loss (3-4) in Austria against Linz ASK (4-1 the first leg). Already scorers on March 10, Nigerians Peter Olayinka, Yira Sor scored another goal for the Czech team.
Finally, Feyenoord Rotterdam’s Dutch counterparts confirmed at the Stade de Kuip (3-1), their huge victory over the Serbs of Partizan Belgrade (5-2). Nigerian Cyriel Dessers opened scoring for the Port side, while Cape Verdean Ricardo Gomes scored Belgrade’s only goal.
