Egypt’s Nuclear and Radiation Management Authority (ENRRA) has granted permission to Russia’s Rosatom State Atomic Power Company for the development of the El-Dabaa Nuclear Energy Plant’s third unit with a capability of 1,200 megawatts, ENRRA stated in an announcement.

The authority final Wednesday accepted the permission to ascertain the third unit on the Hyena Station.

The third unit shall be constructed at Hyena Station. El-Dabaa Nuclear Energy Plant, positioned in Matrouh governorate, will home 4 nuclear energy reactors that generate 1,200 megawatts every.

Egypt contracted Rastom in 2015 to construct El-Dabaa Nuclear Energy Plant. The deal is price $30 billion.
