Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi has sounded a warning to land grabbers eyeing public land within the county.

Mwangangi mentioned unscrupulous folks had resorted to grabbing public land within the county whereas invoking names of senior leaders to intimidate county officers.

Whereas addressing the press Wednesday outdoors his workplace,the deputy governor mentioned the county authorities won’t tolerate acts of unlawful land acquisition and can take care of grabbers firmly.

“We won’t entertain such folks and we are going to ensure that any grabbed land has been returned to its rightful homeowners, “he mentioned.

He singled out Mavoko and sections alongside the Nairobi-Mombasa freeway as a few of the areas the place the circumstances had been rampant.

“In Mavoko the land registry was transferred and 90 p.c of people who engineered the switch are land grabbers,” revealed the deputy governor.
