Man arrested for allegedly attempting to bribe police officers – The Namibian

AN Indian man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly attempting to bribe law enforcement officials in trade for the discharge of six Indian nationals detained at Onandjaba within the Omusati area.

The six have allegedly been arrested in reference to contravening the Immigration Management Act.

In response to the police’s incident report, the Indian nationwide was arrested on Monday. He’s mentioned to have provided an N$18 500 bribe.

“Law enforcement officials swiftly arrested the perpetrator throughout a police motion,” the police say within the report.

The police say throughout their investigation, they found the suspect will not be in possession of legitimate paperwork to be in Namibia.
