Flood arrives in Oshana region – The Namibian
Floodwater, which arrived in Namibia more than a week ago is now in the Oshana area.
The floodwater has already filled the oshanas of Ongwediva.
Leornard Hango, senior hydrologist, said water passed the Endola Bridge on Monday from Eeshoke Village.
“The water people are seeing in the oshanas at Oshakati is rainwater, but in Ongwediva it is floodwater,” he said.
He warned Okatana, near Oshakati, and other areas to expect flooding soon.
Flood water is seen in the streams around the Ongwediva roadblock.
Hango stated that water is at Ohakweenyanga, Oshinyadhila villages, heading to Ompundja.
