After falling from a moving vehicle, a Oshana-based police officer was killed on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred at 19h30 on the Eheke Onakamwandi gravel road.
Sakaria Lungameni (Oshana police regional commissioner) confirmed that Thomas Tangeni Moongo (28) had been riding in a pick up truck and was seated on the loading dock. He fell onto the gravel road, where he died instantly.
“Yes, we sent police officers to the scene yesterday. We are still waiting for a complete report on the incident.” Sakaria reported that the body has been taken to Oshakati police station mortuary. The next of kin have been informed.
