Muhoroni residents get relief food – Kenya News Agency

Residents of Muhoroni Sub-County, Kisumu County have been provided with 560 bags each of 50kg of food aid food.

This included 280 bags of rice and 280 bags of beans, which could be used by residents who have had poor harvests this year.

Residents from four areas of the region came to Koru Railway Station grounds to collect the food. The event was officiated at by Mr. Eliud Olawo, Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy.

Leaders from the area thanked government for the donation, saying that it would go a long ways in helping about 3000 households located at Fort Ternan, Koru, Muhoroni and Got Nyithindo.

CS Owalo asked residents to work with the government, stating that the government was working to fulfill all the promises made during the campaigns.

He said that the leadership was working towards having an inclusive government that would ensure that all areas of the country benefit from the development agenda of the government as no area would be left out.

Residents who received the food thanked government and said it would go a long ways in helping families that were facing food shortages.
