Mogadishu (SONNA) – National Soldiers carried out a planned operation in the Janale area of the Lower Shabelle region, killing several Al-Shabab terrorists.
Mohamed Nur Shire, the militants’ ringleader in the province, is among 13 others who neutralised by troops during the military movement.
According to the 66th Unit Command, the operation also stopped an enemy plot against the Janale village residents.
Elsewhere, Somali troops on Friday killed 19 Al-Shabab terrorists after attempted to attack on army base near Bal’ad district in Middle Shabelle region.
The ongoing offensive against Al-Shabab terrorists has seen terrorists lose control of vast swathes Galmudug Southwest and Hirshabelle State.
