King Mohammed VI chairs religious ceremony marking Aid Al-Mawlid Annabawi – The North Africa Post

King Mohammed VI, Commander in the Faithful, presided over this Saturday’s religious ceremony at the Hassan Mosque, Rabat, which marks Aid Al-Mawlid Annabawi Asharif, which commemorates Prophet Sidna Mohammed’s birth.

The Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rashid, and his son Prince Moulay Ahmad accompanied the Sovereign.

The religious ceremony was marked with the declamation verses from Holy Quran and panegyrics by the Prophet Sidna Mohammed.

Ahmed Toufiq the Minister of Endowments, Islamic Affairs, made a presentation to the King about the results of activities of the Supreme Council of Ulema as well as the local Councils of Ulema. He then handed the report on these activities over to the Sovereign.

The Minister stated that the Supreme Council of Ulema is presided over by the King Commander of the Faithful and fulfilled its mission in service of religion, respect for the constants of Nation. He also noted that this Institution was able to continue its work through the main axes of communication (Tabligh), qualification supervision, and intervention on the subject within the framework of activities of general interests.

King Mohammed VI presented the Mohammed VI Prize for Islamic Thought and Studies (Prize of Merit and Tribute) to Mr. Chbihna Hamdati Maa El Aïnine (Rabat).

This prize is awarded annually to eminent scientists to encourage them to conduct high quality research in the field Islamic studies in accordance to the teachings of the noble Sharia, which encourages the continuous pursuit of knowledge.

Hamid Adardour from Agadir received the Mohammed VI International Prize for memorization and declamation of the Holy Quran from the Sovereign.

Farhane Mohamadi Fadlane, a Republic of Indonesian, also welcomed the Sovereign. The King presented the Mohammed VI International Prize of Psalmody of the Holy Quran to him with memorization of five Hizbs.

Omar Sarghini, a Moroccan calligraphic artist, was also presented by the King with the Mohammed VI Prize for Excellence in Moroccan Calligraphic Art. The Sovereign then awarded the Mohammed VI Prize for Moroccan decorative art on paper (Honorary Prize) to Abdelmajid Talbi, from the city of Salé, and the Mohammed VI Prize for Moroccan decorative art on paper (Prize of Excellence) to Mrs. Leila El Jemli, from the city of Fez.

The King also gave the Mohammed VI Prize for Arab Literacy [Al Horoufia](Honorary Prize), to Mohamed Boukhana from Temara and the Mohammed VI Prize for Arab Literacy [Al Horoufia](Prize of excellence) to Mohamed Al Asri from Casablanca.

During the ceremony, King Mohammed VI was also greeted and congratulated by members of the jury for the Mohammed VI Prize for Islamic Thought and Studies: Professors Mohamed Kettani and Mohamed Yssef.

The ceremony was attended by several members of Government, senior officials and officers of Royal Armed Forces and members of the Islamic Diplomatic Corps accredited in Rabat.

King Mohammed VI continues the tradition of his ancestors, who used to celebrate the birthday of the Messenger Of Mercy, their Ancestor, the Prophet Sidna Mohammed. Prayer and peace be upon them.

An anniversary that celebrates the blossoming of the Lights of Guidance for Humanity. Thanks to the message carried on the Seal of the Prophets to spread the high virtues of justice and the values of justice, and to recommend good works so that all people live in peace, harmony, and harmony.
