Seychelles: Foreign Affairs announces the passing of Honorary Consul Harold Green – African Business

The Foreign Affairs Department regrets to inform you of the death of Mr Harold Green (Honorary Consul of Seychelles), Alaska.

Harold Green, who was appointed Honorary Consul in March 1999, had been unwavering in his dedication to Seychelles, a country that he had grown up to love as his own. He was the longest-serving Honorary Counselor of Seychelles. He was also very active in that role, working closely together with local stakeholders on projects to benefit Seychellois community. He was well-known for his interest in local sports, and his support of the development of football at district level through the donation of football gear.

“Harold was always full of life. He loved to travel the world and golf. He will forever be remembered for his sharp mind, humour, for being an endlessly driven individual and most of all, for his dedication in promoting Seychelles interests,” remarked Minister Sylvestre Radegonde, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism.

Minister Radegonde and the Management and staff of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism offer their deepest condolences and sympathies to the Green family, friends and loved ones in this time of sorrow and mourning.
