Morocco & Mauritania Discuss Security Cooperation Prospects – The North Africa Post

Head of Morocco’s national police & domestic intelligence agency Abdellatif El Hammouchi and Mauritania’s Chief of national security Mesgharou Ould Sidi Leghweizi discussed on Tuesday in Rabat ways of enhancing security cooperation and coordinating efforts against common regional challenges.

According to a statement by the Moroccan national police, the two sides stressed the importance of strengthening their cooperation in police training, exchanging expertise, intelligence, and combating the various threats and risk that threaten the security of the countries.

The example of south-south collaboration in security matters between Morocco and Mauritanian reflects the determination of both countries to confront common security threats.
