SINGER BK John’s second studio album, “Never Give Up” was released last Friday.

The album contains a message of encouragement, motivation, and was produced and mixed by Namzee Brown & DJ Chronic.

It features eight songs in various genres like amapiano, kwaito and Afropop.

The song “Ngu Challenge” is international in sound and features a dance vibe that can lighten up parties and dance challenges.

BK John says that he wrote it after being challenged by young dancers, including his own daughter.

“I did this song to show them that even though I’m old, I can still do it.”

Another song on this album, titled “Never Give Up”, discusses the ups and downs in life and how to overcome them. Meanwhile, Muswamane is all about respecting and valuing elders.

“A lot must be expected from me this year, even though there’s only a few months left. I will soon start with my CD launch, and also want to shoot a music video at the end of the month,” he says.

He said he would like to work with major artists and help upcoming artists, particularly those who are struggling to realize their dreams.

“I want Namibian music to be recognised internationally at a high standard.”

BK John began music in 2014, and his first album, titled “Munona Zuvha”, was released in 2015. It is a collection of songs about children obeying their parents.

The album featured Ma/Gaisa singer Female Donkey and Legacy.
