Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) sent emergency aid to nearly 1,400 families in distress in areas of Hiran and Middle Shabelle regions.

The agency’s director, Mr. Abdirishid Mohammad Hassan, spoke to the media and stated that the first aid was delivered on the ground.

“We have sent emergency aid to families in distress in Rage-Eele and Adayle districts in the Middle Shabelle region, which we are delivering to remote areas where our people are suffering,” said Director Abdirishiid.

The important food items needed by these families are included in the emergency aid that was delivered Adayle and Rage Eele areas. The Disaster Relief and Management Agency focuses on providing immediate relief and assistance for Somalians who are facing difficult situations.
