Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Ahmed Madobe Nuunow (Ahmed Baashi) received the Head of the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Somalia, Mr Peterschmitt Etienne.
The was started in an atmosphere of familiarity and communication, the meeting focused on projecting on the previous cooperation, the projects that have already been implemented, the achievements, the challenges, and the new projects that are expected to be implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and FAO.
These issues included the promotion and management of cooperation between FAO and Ministry, dealing with emergencies and the return of drought to the country. The improvement of the country’s production and the development of farmers.
The Minister and the head FAO inspected all departments in the ministry, including the Laboratory Department, to ensure quality food production in the country. This department is the heart of the ministry.
