President Ramkalawan sends a congratulatory message to King Charles III on his Accession to the throne – African Business

On the occasion of King Charles III’s accession to the throne, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, President of the Republic of Seychelles has sent a message of felicitations to King Charles III.

President Ramkalwan’s message reads as follows:

“Your Majesty,

On behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Seychelles, and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to offer our warmest congratulations on Your Majesty’s accession to the throne.

I am confident that the United Kingdom under your leadership will continue to prosper, enjoy stability, and be a force of good for the promotion and protection of democratic values, human and civil rights, and peace around the world. These, and other issues of which you have been a passionate proponent, like the environment, climate change renewable energy, small island developing states, I promise to you my full support.

The United Kingdom and Seychelles have excellent relations. We value our friendship with the United Kingdom as well as our membership in Commonwealth. I am convinced that these bonds of trust, friendship, and cooperation will be further strengthened during Your Majesty’s reign.

I wish Your Majesty and the Royal Family good health, happiness, prosperity, and every success, and look forward to meeting you again in the near future.”
