As Rwanda’s comedy industry continues to grow, comedians are doing their best to keep people entertained. The number of comedians has increased over the years and many young new talents have grabbed people’s attention.
Who are the trending comedians right now? These comedians, in no particular sequence, are guaranteed to give you a good time.
Patrick Rusine
Rusine is one of the most loved comedians today. Since his videos were posted online, this young talent has proven that he is a great comedian. He is famously known for his role in ‘Umuturanyi’ alongside Clapton Kibonke. Rusine has proved that he is not just a YouTube comedian during the ‘Seka Live’ shows as he always leaves the audience laughing. He is expected to perform at the next ‘Seka Live’ this July.
Rufonsina
The actress, born Sandrine Uwimpundu, made a name for herself thanks to her language known as ‘ikigoyi’, and since then comedy lovers have been looking forward to more of what she can offer. She has been struggling to make a name for herself in the film industry for a long time and recently, she finally grabbed people and filmmakers’ attention.
Clapton Kibonke
Kibonke, realname Clapton Mugisha is a veteran of the comedy industry. It is amazing to see all he has accomplished. He was first spotted on a TV program with Ramdjan, who later quit. We didn’t know that this was just the beginning of Kibonke’s career. He is now trending in his comedy show dubbed ‘Umuturanyi’ available on his YouTube channel.
Gentil
YouTube and other platforms make it easy for new talent to shine and gain exposure. Gentil, a fast-rising comedian, has made this a reality. His unique show can be found at Bros Entertainment on YouTube. This young talent caught people’s attention in a comedy show where he acts how different celebrities would react on judgement day.
Zuby Comedy
As their talent continues to shine, Seka Nshizirungu’s and Samson Mucyo’s duo are some of the most prominent comedians in Rwanda. Their YouTube channel has attracted many people to their shows. According to the number of revellers who attended the concert, it was a success, the two headlined a concert that they headlined in Kenya.
