Kwibohora28: PM Ngirente commends armed forces’ role in peace and development

Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente acknowledged the country’s Applauding the role of the armed forces in creating an environment that allows for growth and protection,

He made the remarks Monday, July 4th in Nyaruguru District, as he presided at the 28th national liberation celebrations.

 

“July 4″ is an important date in Rwandan history. It’s a day that we celebrate the liberation and the achievements of the past 28 years,” stated the Prime Minister.

 

On this note, he also challenged youths to ensure they keep up with the vigour that drives Rwanda’s development. 

 

“I challenge youths, the quest to develop is unending and it’s in your hands. Ngirente stated, “Work harder because this nation looks to you for prosperity.”

Nyaruguru was the place where the Premier inaugurated the Rwf15.7 billion Munini Integrated Model Village. It houses 48 families and was built by the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF). and their partners, as part of the activities that marked Rwanda’s liberation. 

Munini model village has three residential units of 16 units. It also contains a school, Groupe Scolaire Munini. It has 18 classrooms, two advanced laboratories and a smart classroom. There is also a dining hall that can accommodate 1,000 people. There are also connectivity pathways and three ECDs.

The village also features a variety of welfare facilities, including pigpens and a tree plantation. It also has selling points, water supply systems. Access roads. Electric supply machine expropriation.

There are currently 102 model villages in the country. There are 10 at the national level and 92 at the district level. They shelter 6,754 households.

There are more than 70 infrastructure projects undertaken as part of marking the liberation day and are being inaugurated under the theme, ‘Together We Prosper.’ All the projects were completed at the tune of Rwf191 billion.

Jean-Marie Vianney Gatabazi (Local Government Minister) addressed Nyaruguru District residents and said that liberation reminded Rwandans about a group that took up arms to liberate their country and ended the bad leadership.

“Liberation remains a process which requires us to work hard to ensure the welfare of our people as well as poverty elimination. Gatabazi said that as part of the celebration of liberation, 497 infrastructure projects were inaugurated across the country, including roads, bridges electrification, water pipes, schools, hospitals and model villages.

Martha Ntakirutimana was a Nyaruguru District resident in Ruheru Sector. She found freedom brought her new opportunities. “Today I am a farmer making profits and paying for all my needs, and it’s not me alone, it’s all the women here in Nyaruguru.”

The three other model villages constructed under the anniversary of liberation infrastructure are Munini, Munini and Ina. Karongi and Kayonza as well as another Nyaruguru version, constructed at a total of Rwf6.7 billion.

RDF Spokesperson, Col Ronald Rwivanga, told The New TimesThese projects were part of the RDF mandate. This mandate includes ensuring the welfare and security of the public to ensure sustainable peace and stability.

He stated that RDF believes that human security is essential in order to sustain peace and security.

He stated that RDF partners with various stakeholders to improve the lives of its people.
