Probe into death of Bazivamo’s US-based son expected to take one week

The New Times reports that the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Christophe Bazivamo (a US-based son) is expected to take place over the next week. 

Bazivamo is vice chairman of Rwanda Patriotic Front-Inkotanyi and is also the Deputy Secret General of East African Community.

 

Bruce Nshuti Hirwa (23 years old) was found dead in his apartment near the University of Arkansas, USA. He was a student there.

 

“We are waiting for the autopsy examination and an investigation report that will be issued by the US Police. I suppose it will take about a week,” Bazivamo told The New Times on Saturday, July 2.

 

According to reports Nshuti was on Tuesday, June 28, with his fellow students. They were talking to each other and laughing, before retiring to sleep at around 10 o’clock in the morning.

He was found dead at the university’s building at 9:15 am, a short distance from his former home.

According to his father Nshuti didn’t have any health problems.

Bazivamo is currently the EAC Deputy SecretaryGeneral in charge Productive and Social Sectors.

Bazivamo, prior to his appointment as Deputy Secretary General, was a Member East African Legislative Assembly.

He also held several ministerial positions in Rwanda including Minister for Lands and Environment, Forestry and Water, Minister of Local Government and Minister For Agriculture and Animal Resources.
