He stated that he understood the difficulties faced by pastoralists in this area, including insecurity. He also pledged to work closely with elected leaders to address these issues, improve services, such as water, and improve healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the time I will be Governor, I promise to support you. I understand the difficulties you face along the border, and have listened. We will work with all the elected leaders to address challenges faced by pastoralists including insecurity and improve service delivery on water, health among others,\u201d\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Governor also disclosed that Prof Kithure Kindiki, Interior Cabinet Secretary, had intended to visit the area to engage security forces stationed at the border post. However, unforeseen commitments forced him to cancel his trip.<\/p>\n<p>He informed residents that during a recent meeting between President William Ruto and Turkana leaders, they presented development priorities for the area and raised concerns about the need to build a road between Nadapal and Nakodok and border demarcation.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Lomorukai announced the County Government&#8217;s dispatch of relief food for the National Police Reservists in this area and promised that food would be distributed to residents affected by the drought immediately after delivery.
