The Arab Parliament strongly denounced the meddling of the European Parliament in Morocco’s internal affairs as well as the unfounded human rights accusations against the North African country.

The Arab Parliament voiced strong disapproval of the European Parliament’s resolution which interfered in the judicial procedure of a sovereign Arab state, Arab MPs said in a statement.

The Arab Parliament expressed concern over the vote by the European Parliament, and its allegations about the situation in Morocco regarding human rights.

It condemned the use of human rights by foreign interference in Arab states and called on the European Parliament not to continue its biased approach, which does not provide fact-checking about the human rights situation in Arab nations.

The statement by the Arab MPs condemned the patronizing behavior of the European Parlament and its dependence on false allegations, which unfortunately are treated as facts.

The Arab statement says that the European Union should be more focused on how to develop its partnership and protect Morocco from harassment and blackmail.

Several institutions and political parties in Morocco have also disavowed that resolution. They rejected any interference in justice or any attempt at influencing its decisions.

They condemned a resolution that was dominated by a superiority complex, an interventionism that politicizes human rights and press freedom in order to advance a political agenda, and a superiority complex.

They warned of the repercussions of the European Parliament’s blackmail on ties with Morocco, echoing earlier warnings by Morocco’s foreign minister who described such moves as a harassment undermining Morocco-EU partnership.
