The French cyclist, who was named best young rider, won the race with a time advantage of one minute, 25 seconds on his runners-up.<\/p>\n<p>From Cameroon&#8217;s correspondent<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Axel Taillandier (in Yellow) wins Chantal Biya Grand prix for the first-time.<\/p>\n<div id=\"shortcode-78-38432\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was either him or Lukaskubis, the defending champ.  Axel Taillandier defeated the Slovak on Saturday, October 8.  The Chantal Biya cycling Grand Prix is won by the Frenchman for the first-time.  The 23-year-old rider, who finished fourth last year in the competition, waited until the final stage to claim the yellow jersey.  A consecration to the one who also won first prize in the points classification.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>A profitable strategy<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cI am very happy to return to France with the yellow jersey of Grand Prix winner Chantal Biya<\/em>Axel Taillandier was happy<em>.  Last year, I was fourth in the race and finished second.  I participated in the Tour du Cameroun, and won two stages.  Today, I win the Grand Prix.  This means that I am on an excellent progression curve.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Axel Taillandier did a good job with his shot.  Since the start of this race, the youngest member of the French Club de la D\u00e9fense team has hidden behind the wheels of the favorites without ever demonstrating his real intentions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To see him at work, we had to wait until Saturday&#8217;s final test.  He took advantage to place a decisive attack 30 kilometers from the end.  Axel Taillandier won the race by a minute and 27 seconds ahead of his two runners-up, the Algerian Mansouri Abdulrahmane.  They are the Slovak Lukaskubis and the Cameroonianclovis Kamzong Abessolo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cThe strategy was to be discreet from the first stage, but without leaving too much of a gap with the top of the general classification.<\/em>Axel Taillandier<em>.  I was smart to the end.  I saw a great chance and I seized it.  I didn&#8217;t look back after I left.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Frenchman returns to France with the ambition of returning next year.  This time, to win in the Tour of Cameroon.  He says:<em>Now that I am the Grand Prix Chantal biya winner, we will be aiming for the Tour of Cameroon.  I have many months to prepare.
