Today, 8 October, Eid Mewlid Al Nebi was celebrated in vibrant colors across the country.<\/p>\n
The celebration was held at Al-Khulefa Al-Rasheedin Mosque, where Imams from various Mosques, Sheiks and a number of faithful took part. Briefings were given on the religious meanings and depths of Eid Mewlid Al-Nebi.<\/p>\n
In his greetings to the faithful, Mr. Mohammed-Seid Beshir, Chairman of Islamic Awkaf of Asmara, called for the transfer of noble societal value to the young generation.<\/p>\n
Sheik Salem Almuktar, Mufti in Eritrea, gave a briefing on the historical background to the Holiday and wished Happy Eid both to the Eritrean population at home and abroad.<\/p>\n
Sheik Salem Ibrahim almuktar also wished prosperity and stability for the Eritrean people.<\/p>\n
