Hossein Amirabdollahian is the Iranian Foreign Minister. He met Osman Saleh Mohammed, the Eritrean counterpart, at the 77th annual UN General Assembly meeting in New York.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the meeting, Amirabdollahian lauded the history of the Eritrean people\u2019s struggles, and noted that the administration of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi attaches special significance to the African continent, namely Eritrea\u2019s active role in the Horn of Africa.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed the hope that the two countries would work together in technical and economic areas, based on mutual respect for their values and interests.<\/p>\n<p>The Eritrean foreign minister, in turn, highlighted his country\u2019s policy of enhancing relations with regional countries, including Iran.<\/p>\n<p><i>Distributed by APO Group on behalf of Ministry of Foreign Affairs \u2013 Islamic Republic of Iran.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><i>APO issued this Press Release.
