We are also looking into the possibility of opening a second centre in Madudu, 25km north. This is the area where the first Ebola victim died and several cases have been reported. The current priority is to improve patient care. MSF is currently assembling a team consisting of epidemiologists, logisticians and medical personnel with experience in managing hemorhagic fever cases. They should be ready to begin work next week. The Ministry of Health has the option to continue to intervene if necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The country&#8217;s last Ebola outbreak was in 2019. MSF intervened in Uganda to assist the health authorities in managing people who were in contact with confirmed cases.
