Double reigning African triple jump champion, Burkinab\u00e8 Hugues Fabrice Zango hopes this time to climb to the top step of the podium in his discipline after a bronze medal in 2019 in Doha.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"shortcode-78-38432\">\n<p>The <strong>Athletics World Championships<\/strong>This Friday, July 15, will kick off and run through the 24th of July in Eugene, USA.  Hugues Fabrice Zango, one of the continent&#8217;s ambassadors, has made it possible for Africa to shine very high.  The greatest African triple jumper is confident as competitions approach.<em>I have several goals.  First, I want to be a gold medalist in the world championships in Eugene.  Because I already won the bronze medal.  Normally, I would go for silver, but I&#8217;m a jumper and have to skip silver in order to go for gold.  These are my goals, just like the Olympics.<\/em>\u00bb, announces Fabrice Zango in <em>Burkina24.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Burkinab\u00e8 athlete even wants to beat the world record for the discipline which dates from 1995 and which was 18.29m, a work by Jonathan Edwards.  Zango, who was established in July 2021, is currently at 17.82m. \u201c<em>I hope to beat Jonathan Edwards\u2019 world record before Paris Olympics.  Because it is often difficult to beat a record at the championships.  I hope to beat him in the competition.  Then I&#8217;ll be able to go to Paris Games.<\/em>Hugues Fabrice Zano, the only man who has reached this goal, asks <strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hugues_Fabrice_Zango\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">18m indoors<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The same topic?<\/strong> <strong>: African Athletics Zango Championships <\/strong><em><strong>\u201cthe end goal is to win the Worlds\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hugues Fabrice Zano will be competing in the United States.  With the title of African champion, he arrives in Uncle Sam.  He hopes to make a splash in Oregon, with a personal best of 17.82m.  Hugues Fabrice Zoango, who is in the running on July 21st sees only gold. <em>\u201cMy goal this year is to be first.
