It also affirmed that it will \u201ctake the necessary measures\u201d to preserve the independence of the Libyan will \u201cif any party attempted to unilaterally abuse it for the benefit of any foreign entity\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>According to Libya Observer, Dbeibah, who heads the Tripoli-based Government of National Unity, (GNU), also supported the protest.<\/p>\n<p>Twitter: The ex-businessman turned politician claimed he joined the protesters demanding elections and the removal of all current political entities, including his government.<\/p>\n<p>He targeted the House of Representatives (HoR), an internationally recognized Libyan legislature. He accused the parliament of preventing the holding of elections.<\/p>\n<p>Friday&#8217;s protestors stormed the HoR headquarters at Tobruk in an attempt to demand that the various state bodies be removed and for elections to be held.<\/p>\n<p>Dbeibah was dismissed by the HoR in February.
