Miss\u00a0Elsa Iradukunda and her co-accused Nasra Uwizeye will on Tuesday, May 24, appear before Kicukiro Primary Court where they are expected to be charged and allowed to seek bail.<\/p>\n
Iradukunda was named Miss Rwanda 2017.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Uwitonze was also taken into custody. She is charged with three charges, including influencing assistants to judicial organs, giving false witness, forgery, falsification and use of forged papers.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Iradukunda was\u00a0arrested\u00a0on May 8 while her co-accused Uwitonze was arrested on May 10.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
She was detained a few days after the arrest of Dieudonne Ishimwe, who is commonly known as\u00a0Prince Kid, the CEO of Rwanda Inspiration back-Up\u2014an organisation that used to organise the Miss Rwanda beauty pageant.<\/p>\n
She is accused of attempting to sabotage an investigations into various alleged\u00a0crimes related to sexual abuse\u00a0that were slapped on Prince Kid\u2014 who is also believed to be her boyfriend.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, on Monday, May 16, Price kid was sent on a 30-day\u00a0remand, after the judge denied him bail and the rape charge dropped while he is still being suspected of the charges of soliciting or offering sexual favours and harassment.<\/p>\n
Uwitonze is said to be the one who illegally nototized documents believed to be from different people, in order to absolve Prince Kid of the crimes that he faces.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The file of the two women was\u00a0handed\u00a0to the National Public Prosecution Authority by investigators on Friday, May, 13, for examination before deciding on whether to produce the suspect before a court.<\/p>\n
