Ivory Coast- Ligue 1 Lonaci: LYS Sassandra finally wins

LYS finally wins! The club from the seaside town of La Côtière, in the south-west of the country, beat Marcory Sol FC on November 18 at the Champroux Stadium during the 9th advanced day of Ligue 1 Lonaci. The Bleu-Blancs lost their reputation as champions in draws. It was the first time that a team had stood still in the history of the Ivorian championship. Since the 2022-2023 season began, LYS Sassandra’s matches have been a struggle. The people’s Club, as it is known, has 5 draws for 1 victory or 1 defeat in 7 days, which is 8 points. His last draw was against Racing d’Abidjan (Friday, October 28, 2022). The drought was finally over with this win against the Abobo Team. They can now move up the Ligue 1 ranking, which is dominated mainly by two newcomers and a former promote. The Denguélé of Odienné, who plays this November 19, 2022 against USC Bassam, is still leader of Ligue 1 Lonaci. Asec, who has three draws in their three previous meetings, is still in 9th place. They suffered three setbacks against FC San Pedro (3rd Day), against USC Bassam (4th Day) and against Afad (5th Day). Their fans are furious and claim victories logically.
