Mogadishu (SONNA) – Abdullahi Mohamed Sbalolshe is a legislator in the House of People. He called for an entire nation to confront Al-Shabab terror organization.
“The terrorists (Al-Shabaab) are international in nature; hence, they must be confronted an entire nation and its supporters in unison,” said Sanbalolshe, a former Director of Intelligence (NISA).
The Somali National Army and allied local people managed to liberate more than 40 rural settlements from Al-Shabaab militants by the end of September.
Saturday’s suspension by the Somali Government of 40 Twitter and Facebook accounts used for terrorist propaganda and violent extremism ideologies by terrorists was a significant step.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud proposed a new strategy to defeat Al-Shabab. This strategy would be to combat them economically and militarily. The goal is to not only weaken but eliminate the group.
