Ethiopia, Pakistan to enhance military, intelligence cooperation – New Business Ethiopia

Officials from Ethiopia and Pakistan expressed interest in enhancing defense, military, and intelligence cooperation.

This is indicated during a meeting in Islamabad between Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Ambassador Jemal Beker and Minister of Defense of Pakistan, Khawaja Muhammad Asif. According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, the Minister of Defense stated that Pakistan considers Ethiopia a close friend.

He said that Pakistan intends to establish meaningful defense ties with Ethiopia and is focused on enhancing defense, military and intelligence cooperation, according to the statement.“He mentioned Pakistan’s recent contribution to assist Ethiopia with an Against Vote on an EU-Sponsored Resolution at UNHRC related to Human Rights Violations by Ethiopia.”
