Enterprise in Bomet city this morning got here to a standstill and transport partially paralyzed when resident, largely youth took to the streets in protest of Governor Hillary Barchok’s management.

Anti-riot police squad was compelled to fireplace teargas to disperse the indignant mob who had lit fires alongside main streets together with the Freeway connecting Bomet-Narok, Bomet Kisii, rendering transport unimaginable.
Through the mayhem, some protesters had been arrested and brought to Bomet Central Police Station for interrogation.

 “We should rise up for the residents of Bomet County if the leaders we elected aren’t fixing our issues. We is not going to cease till we see modifications,” shouted one of many protesters behind a dashing Police Automobile.  

The residents had been complaining of acute water scarcity, poor state of roads nepotism within the recruitment of County workers amongst different allegations.

They demanded for impeachment of the Governor for failing to take care of their primary wants and pre-election pledges and known as on the Members of the County Meeting to fast-truck the method of instituting a movement on the identical.
