Mayor of Mogadishu receives Italian Ambassador to Somalia
Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Governor of Banadir area and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Yusuf Hussein Jim’ale (Madale) obtained the Italian Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Alberto Vecchi, and the Mayor was accompanied within the assembly by the Deputy Chairman of Safety and Politics of the Banadir Regional Administration and the Commander of the Banadir Police.
The assembly mentioned bilateral cooperation and acceleration of funding tasks by the Italian authorities in growing the capital metropolis, significantly within the infrastructure.
The Mayor and the Ambassador went on an inspection go to to the Italian monument close to the Banadir Administration and the Italian Home (Casa Italia) that the federal government of Italy requested to be evicted and handed again to them.
The Ambassador stated that the Casa Italia which is within the coronary heart of the capital is a symbolic place each for Somalia and Italy.
“I’m right here to thank the Somali Authority System, the President HE Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the Authorities and particularly the Mayor of Mogadishu, for having restituted this historic and symbolic place, not solely to Italy however to each Italy and Somalia for a public use”, Ambassador Vecchi stated.
