Aziz Akhannouch, Head of Government, handed President Macky Sall of Senegal the royal message on Wednesday.
Akhannouch is leading a large Moroccan delegation participating in the Dakar 2 Summit on food sovereignty, which opened Wednesday in Diamniadio, 30 km from Dakar, under the theme “Feeding Africa: food sovereignty and resilience.”
Ministers of Equipment and Water, and of Agriculture, make up the Moroccan delegation. Chakib alj, President of General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, Obaid Amrane, is also on the OCP Group’s Executive Board.
The event runs from January 25 to 27, and brings together delegates from governments and representatives of the private sector as well as multilateral organizations, NGOs, academia, and the private sector to address the growing problem of food security in Africa.
