APO Group (www.APO-opa.com), the leading Pan-African communications consultancy and press release distribution service, is proud to announce that Lynne Krawchuk, Vice President of Digital, PR, and Media Relations, has been appointed as a judge for the prestigious PRovoke SABRE Awards Africa 2023.

After a rigorous peer review process, the judges for the awards are chosen from the top ranks of the continent’s public relations industry. Lynne has had a profound influence on the industry and is lauded because of her remarkable expertise and innovative campaigns.

The PRovoke SABRE Award Africa is a premier event that recognizes excellence in PR and branding. It serves as Africa’s most prestigious industry awards and takes place on  18 May 2023.

The regional winners automatically get through to EMEA awards. They also have a chance to advance to the global SABRE Awards. At the global event, the 50 best public relations campaigns from around the world are recognised and in the running to possibly earn a spot in the Global Creative Index (http://bit.ly/3D9wCR9) ranking.

Lynne has been a judge for industry-related awards before. She was previously a judge at the New Generation Awards in 2020, 2021, and the Effie Awards South Africa as part of the Effie Awards Worldwide 2022.

Lynne has worked extensively in Africa and Europe and currently leads APO Group’s PR consultancy division. Located in Johannesburg (South Africa), she has more than 20-years’ experience under her belt.

Lynne and her group won four PRovoke SABRE Awards Africa wins last year. These included their extensive work for IOM, which disproved discriminatory narratives and debunked false stories about migration in Africa. Another award went to their campaign around the Jack Ma Foundation Africa Business Heroes (ABH) Prize Competition – which was aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in Africa and empowering Africa’s business leaders of tomorrow. The APO Group achieved maximum media coverage, which resulted to a surge of applications from Africa and made this one of the most successful competitions ever.

The team were also awarded a Certificate of Excellence for their Africa Frontiers of Innovation Campaign for Canon Central and North Africa, as well as a Certificate of Excellence for their rebranding of Liquid Intelligent Technologies. Lynne’s selection as a judge for the SABRE Awards this year is a testament to her extraordinary accomplishments in the industry, as well as the exemplary work she does in Africa.

“It is a privilege and honour to be selected as a Judge for the PRovoke SABRE Awards Africa 2023. There is no greater event that recognises public relations excellence, so I am thrilled to be able to acknowledge and play a part in rewarding some of the best campaigns of the year, alongside the most talented people in our industry,” said Krawchuk.

“Across Africa, there is an enormously vast and diverse talent pool and I know we, the judging panel, are looking forward to seeing the exceptional strategies, achievements and successes on this exciting journey.”

Nicolas Pompigne–Mognard was the founder and chairman of APO Group. He said that Lynne is a great inspiration to his team.

“This selection is a testament to the outstanding teamwork being done by APO Group across the length and breadth of Africa, which is led by Lynne. She has been at the helm of our PR efforts, which is for some of the most prominent organisations in the world including Canon, FIFA, and Nestlé. Her team on the ground have built deep, solid relationships with journalists and editors, and this speaks volumes about the pioneering work we do in Africa,” said Pompigne-Mognard.
