Moroccan athletes receive higher qualification bonuses for the Olympic Games. To facilitate athletes’ preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, a new approach has been taken. The new policy of CNOM consists in a new scholarship programme that was adopted during this month. “in order to provide additional financial means to eligible Moroccan athletes”.

The CNOM is supporting the efforts of the federations whose sport is represented at the Olympic Games by granting these scholarships. It also intends to support their efforts in supporting their athletes and taking control of their sports projects through the agreements they made with the Committee.
The athletes will be divided in three categories. They will be eligible for support grants based upon their performance in the past or during the current season. Athletes classified in the “Elite 1” will thus receive the equivalent of 1000 euros per month. This means that you must be ranked between 1st to 10th in the world in your discipline or have been a medalist at the Tokyo 2020 or last world championships. Concerning the “Elite 2”, a scholarship of 600 euros is granted. Athletes must be between the 11 and the 22.eThe 20eWorld place or win an African title in the current season. This lot also includes the best-ranked African athlete in each discipline, as well as the Moroccan athletes who won gold in the Islamic Solidarity Games of Konya or at the Mediterranean Games of Oran.
The last category of scholarship is reserved for athletes who are from the United States. the “Elite 3”. These are the silver and bronze medalists from the Games of Oran and Konya. These scholarships are funded by the International Olympic Committee, the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa and, in part, the CNOM and Ministry of Sports. They should also cover the preparation for the 2028 Olympic Games.
