2023 World Cup – qualification: second round groups revealed

Group A: Cape Verde (7 pts), Nigeria (6 Pts), and Uganda (5 pts), qualify for the second round. Mali was disqualified following two withdrawals. The Eagles claim their bonuses from the federation.

South Sudan has made good progress. He won 6 of the 7 Group B matches in as few days. The South Sudanese won ahead of Tunisia (10 point total) and Cameroon ((7) points total).

Côte d’Ivoire had a clear round in Group C. Les Éléphants (12 pts) finished first. They are followed by Angola (10 points) and Guinea (7 points -56).

This window was a huge success for Egypt. The Pharaohs (11 points) take 1TimePlace in group D ahead of both the Leopards (10 points) and the Lions of Senegal (9 points).

The 12 teams that qualified in the second round were: Nigeria, Angola (Cape Verde), Uganda, Angola (Sudan), Ivory Coast), Egypt, Tunisia DR Congo, Senegal Cameroon and Guinea.

These 12 teams are now divided into two pools E and F. In group E, we find Cape Verde, Nigeria, Uganda, Côte d’Ivoire, Angola and Guinea. Group F includes South Sudan, Tunisia and Cameroon as well as Egypt, DR Congo, Senegal, and Egypt.

The competition will take place in two windows: August 2022, and February 2023. The second round will not feature teams from the same group that were in the first phase. In the next round, the points earned in the first three windows will be counted. The top 3 teams and the first two teams in each group will be counted.ThYou can qualify for the World Cup.
