Psquare, the musical journey of twins and musical brother, could be described as a blurry one. Even as an up-and-comer, the duo are usually at loggerhead over who is the most creative – Paul has a keen interest in singing while Peter sway in dance and choreography.

“In Psquare, I am the creative person, I can sit down and tell you what people want to hear, what they want to see, and what they want to learn from Psquare. But it’s not something to brag about,” Peter, one-half of the Afropop group said while squashing the belief that he was just a dancer.

Speaking ahead of their reunion concert, Paul went live on Instagram to tell his critics that he’s more than a singer but a professional dancer.

“You guys think I don’t know how to dance, I am a full-time dancer. I just dey pretend. I hold the dance for Peter when he was sick for four days.”

According to a source the duo grew up fighting over their unique characteristics, but their mother knew how to manage their anger.

In 2012, Psquare’s mother passed on at St. Nicholas hospital, Lagos.

Don’t ever take sides against twins, says Psquare

PSquare, the sensational singers, have advised people to never take sides against their families.

The twin brothers, who recently buried the hatchets of their relationship after 5 years of separation, made this statement during a live interview via Instagram.

“People should be mindful of what they say and learn never to take sides against two brothers. Those who took side during our split are the suffering our reunion now,” Peter Okoye.

Paul intervenes to explain what he saw at their reunion party.

He stated that the reunion is about him as well as his brother, their family, friend, or fans who have taken sides in their feud.

“During our reunion celebration, we saw a close friend who are forgotten they were friends just because they take side. People should be able to enjoy the music and not get mad at it. Our reunion is not about the Psquare but the entertainment industry as a whole.”

Though the speculations of their breakup started around 2015 but the identical twins’ acts went their separate ways in 20I7 after a series of allegations against each other on social media.

Peter took to Twitter to denigrate Jude Okoye, their elder brother, as PSquare manager in 2016, for the fourth time since their careers began.

This made called for the termination of the agreement between the group through Psqure’s lawyer, Festus Keyamo on September 21, 2017.

The group is alleged to have lost multiple endorsement deals worth millions.

Paul, who goes under the moniker Rudeboy, released many singles including Nkenji Keke. Audio Money, Reason with Me, and Fire Fire. The latter Peter aka Mr. P dropped mid-tempo tracks Cool it Down, For My Head. My Way. Palomo was also released under the imprints P-Classic Records.

Despite breaking records as separate entities, thousands of fans always clamouring for the Afropop twins’ reunion.  Aliko Dangote, a business magnate from Nigeria was once called upon by passionate Nigerians for the reconciliation of the twins.

“The truth is, as a solo artiste Peter and I recorded hit songs but there was so much anger among the fans that make part of the ear block. Despite our separation, we both kept Psquare alive as still go on to perform some of Psquare’s big songs,” Paul claimed.

Psquare fans experienced a momentous occasion on November 17 when a video featuring the sensational twins was shared on social media. In the clip, the duo and their elder brother, Jude was seen hugging each other in Peter’s resident in Lagos.

The pair also followed each other on Instagram as Paul took to his page to celebrate his twin brother’s 40th birthday anniversary.

“Two heads are better than one,” he captioned their picture.

The wife of Paul, Anita Okoye also organised a party with her children to celebrate Paul and Peter’s reunion.

According to her, she is happy that she did not take sides in the split between her husband’s twin brother and her husband.

“This is the best birthday present either of you could receive. Thank you for letting me have such a great relationship with both of you independent of your rift… I am delighted I didn’t let your coconut heads let me choose sides.”

…restore their lost glory
